Eighty-one years ago today (Dec. 7), a surprise military attack on Pearl Harbor in Hawaii changed the course of the Second World War — it led to the United States entering the war the next day, as did Canada. As then-U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt said, Dec. 7, 1941 was "a date which will live in infamy."
