NYC man stabbed to death during fight sparked by request for a cigarette

The victim was walking with his girlfriend in front of a parking garage on West 42nd Street near Ninth Avenue around just after 11 p.m. Tuesday when he encountered three guys – and asked at least one of them for a cigarette, cops said.
