Bellator 289 weigh-in results
NORWICH, Conn. – MMA Junkie is on scene and reporting live from Thursday’s official Bellator 289 fighter weigh-ins, which kick off at 9 a.m. ET (6 a.m. PT).
The weigh-ins take place at the Bellator host hotel in Norwich, Conn. The nearby Mohegan Sun Arena hosts Friday’s event, which has a main card on Showtime following prelims on MMA Junkie.
Among those weighing in are interim bantamweight champion Raufeon Stots (18-1 MMA, 6-0 BMMA) and challenger Danny Sabatello (13-1 MMA, 3-0 BMMA), who meet in the main event. Their fight also is a semifinal in the ongoing 135-pound grand prix. In the co-feature, women’s flyweight champ Liz Carmouche (17-7 MMA, 4-0 BMMA) takes on former champ Juliana Velasquez (12-1 MMA, 7-1 BMMA) in a rematch. Plus, Patchy Mix (16-1 MMA, 5-1 BMMA) meets Magomed Magomedov (19-2 MMA, 3-1 BMMA) in the other grand prix semifinal.
