World Bank forecasts Kenya's economy to grow by 5.5 pct in 2022

NAIROBI, Dec. 8 (Xinhua) -- Kenya's economy is projected to grow by 5.5 percent in 2022, down from 7.5 percent in 2021, the World Bank said in a new report released on Thursday in Kenya's capital, Nairobi.

The World Bank said the expansion of the economy will be driven by broad-based increases in services and industry despite the poor performance of the agricultural sector.
