Eyewitnesses to the shooting of Omid Moayidi said he was first shot in the back as he ran from Iranian security forces during anti-government street protests before being shot at close range in the head. The security forces have pressured his family to push their official line: that Moayidi was not protesting at all, but is a "martyr" of the clerical regime who was shot by "rioters" as he drove in his car.
