• On December 8, the Russian Ministry of Defense recorded 2 hostilities and ceasefire violations in the Idlib region in the past 24 hours;
• On December 7, Turkish artillery shelled SDF positions near Tal Abyadh city;
• ISIS claimed responsibility for targeting a military vehicle of the SDF in the town of Hissan near the city of Deir Ezzor;
• The high-level Russian delegation led by Deputy Foreign Minister, Sergey Vershinin, met with Turkey’s Deputy Foreign Minister, Sedat Onal, in Istanbul to discuss several issues including the security situation in the north of Syria.
