Bay Area News Group girls high school athlete of the week: Kendall McClure, Heritage basketball
Heritage basketball player Kendall McClure is the Bay Area News Group girls athlete of the week of Nov. 28 to Dec. 3 after she received 23,185 votes (34.58%) by the 5 p.m. deadline on Wednesday.
Hayward basketball player Evalyn Jimenez grabbed 19,903 votes (29.68%) to finish second just behind McClure.
Saratoga basketball player Tanya Ghai finished third.
McClure, a Heritage junior, was named MVP of the Peyo Classic after putting up 48 points, 15 rebounds and 16 assists in wins over Riordan, James Logan and Monte Vista. Heritage won the Peyo Classic for the second year in a row.
