Who is in the final of MasterChef: The Professionals 2022?
SINCE 2008, Masterchef: The Professionals has been an opportunity for chefs to further their culinary careers.
The final of series 15 of the cooking show will see three cooks battle it out to win the coveted trophy. But who are the three finalists and when does the final air? Here’s what we know.
Who is in the final of MasterChef: The Professionals?
Charlie Jeffreys
Jeffreys is senior Chef de partie at Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester in London.
The Chef is originally from Dorchester, Dorset, but now lives in London.
Jeffreys previously worked in Yalbury Cottage in Dorchester, where he began as a pot washer before rising through the ranks.
He has been praised by Masterchef judge Marcus Wareing over the course of the series for his creativity.
Dishes of his have included a chicken filled cauliflower and roasted red mullet tied into a heart shape and filled with red mullet and crab mouse.
Sagar Massey
Massey is a senior sous chef at the Marine and Lawn hotel in Troon, Scotland.
He is originally from Bulanshahr, India, but now lives in Johnstone, Scotland, after moving to the country in 2014.
Massey has worked at a number of different restaurants across Scotland, including Rusacks St Andrews, which is based alongside the World-famous golf course.
His father was also a chef, and Massey credits his parents as his inspiration to work as a professional cook.
Nikita Pathakji
Pathakji is a junior sous chef at Kitchen W8 in London.
She grew up in Derby but relocated to London to pursue her dream of becoming a chef.
Her first role was at The Lanesborough in Knightsbridge, London. She has since worked at acclaimed restuarants such as The Lanesborough grill, Claude Bosi at Bibendum and Core by Clare Smyth.
Pathakji attended Westminster Kingsway college.
When is the final of MasterChef: The Professionals?
The final will be broadcast on December 11, 2022, at 6:15pm on BBC One.
The final taking place on Sunday is a departure from previous series, as the show usually airs on weekdays.
The final will consist of the three finalists cooking a three-course meal for the judges, with the victor becoming Masterchef: The Professionals champion.
