WICHITA, Kan. – The Friends University Competitive Cheer and Dance team will take the floor for the first time in the 2022-23 season when they host their annual Falcon Invite tomorrow evening (Dec. 9) starting at 6 pm inside the Garvey Center.
"Our coaching staff is very excited to get the season started, both cheer and dance teams have been practicing really hard and just doing the little things right and we couldn't be more ready to showcase what we've been working on," Friends competitive cheer head coach Joshua Johnson said. "We definitely have some business to accomplish this year… can't wait for everyone to watch us. Go Falcons."
The Competitive Cheer Falcons, the defending KCAC champions, will host Williams Baptist University tomorrow night. It'll be a rematch of last season's duel that saw the Falcons best WBU by a score of 78.86 to 73.76. The Falcons are bolstered by the return of first-team All-KCAC performer Makenzie Reyes (JR/Haysville, Kan) along with honorable-mention selection Olivia Landreth (SO/Olathe, Kan. ).
In their first-ever event as a program, the Competitive Dance Falcons, under the guidance of head coach Tymber Long, will square off with McPherson College tomorrow night.
