I’m a beauty writer & the top 8 hairdryers for silky smooth locks including Babyliss & Remington
PARTY season has arrived but things can get a little heated if you don’t have a good hairdryer at the ready.
Here, YASMIN HARISHA tests out the best blow dryers which will give you the best Christmas curls.
Big Blowout Hair Dryer, £15, Argos 4/5
Yasmin says: “With four heat settings, two speed options and a cool shot to set your style in place this hairdryer is great for doing your classic everyday blowdry.
“However, it’s very loud so avoid doing it in the mornings. But worth it for the price.”
Untamed hair dryer, was £79.99 now £19.99 with EXCLUSIVE Sun reader code sunlovesxmas, Untamedhaircare.co.uk 5/5
Yasmin says: “We’ve all been there after drying your hair and it’s turned into a massive frizz ball.
“But this hairdryer is great for avoiding that, as it infuses Argan oil into your hair at the same time. It leaves your hair feeling glossy, smooth and hydrated. Hands down my favourite.”
REMINGTON Thermacare Pro 2200 Hair Dryer, £25, Currys 2/5
Yasmin says: “This is a powerful dryer, and distributes the heat evenly across your hair.
“It felt like it was one of the longest drys for me. My hair also felt like it needed lots of protection due to it warming very quickly.”
BaByliss Super Power 2400 Hair Dryer, £30, LookFantastic 3/5
Yasmin says: “It’s easy to use, and it’s like that, which means you don’t end up with an aching arm.
“It’s powerful and does the job fast.”
Interchangeable Blow Brush from Mermade Hair, £69, Mermadehair.co.uk 1/5
Yasmin says: “This already has a hairbrush fitted which in theory saves time.
“However, if you have hair that easily nots like mine you will continuously have to stop the dryer in order to brush it again.
“The price of it makes this less attractive for me personally.”
Panasonic Nanoe hair dryer EH-NA67, £79.99, Boots 4/5
Yasmin says: “It looks like the part and plays like the part too. It’s stylish and great for a speedy dry in the morning.
“It’s not as powerful as the others, but leaves your hair with a lovely shine and feeling healthy.”
GHD Air Hair Dryer, £119, LookFantastic 4/5
Yasmin says: “If you’re willing to splash the cash on a long lasting hair dryer, the GHD Air Hair dryer is perfect.
“Its design includes a variable power and temperature control, which reduces risk of drying or damage.
“Although it’s on the expensive side, it has a good few years of daily blowdrys in it.”
Bellissima Creativity 4 You Hairdryer, £149.99, sephora.co.uk, 5/5
Yasmin says: “This device feels seriously professional, and for that price it should be.
“It dry’s your hair gently with it’s fancy digital heat control where a sensor measures the temperature 50 times second to keep it at the optimal level at all times.
“The only downside is the price. But if you’re willing to fork out for a blowdryer for life – this is worth it.”
