And don’t worry, you won’t need to go out and splash the cash on expensive cleaning products.

Likewise, you won’t need to spend hours scrubbing away on your hands and knees either.

TikTok user Antia Birges, who shares lifestyle and cleaning videos on her page @misenplace_au, has come to the rescue as she shared her “mould prevention solution”.

Thanks to Anita, her simple solution will stop mould spores from gathering on blinds and windows.

Antia explained how after a weekend away, she came home to find mould collecting along her roller blinds due to condensation and damp on her window sill.

She then divulged how she got rid of these spores, as well as the method she utilises to stop mould from returning, as she claimed: “I’m on a mission against mould.”

The cleaning fan explained: “We’ve just come back from our weekend away and I knew that having the house closed up, the windows closed, the doors closed, no airflow happening, was going to be the perfect breeding ground for mould.

“The usual suspects were here, there was a bit around the front door, a bit on the window sill, but I also found it on my roller blinds.

“I walked in and I could see it from the reflection.

“It was like the damp was sitting on the window sill and rose up the blind. You have got to clean it straight away.”

Anita explained how she first cleans the mould from the blinds and window sill using half isopropyl and half warm water.

Isopropyl alcohol is a potent antimicrobial substance which is often used for sterilising tools and cleaning fabrics.

Anita sprayed the substance onto the mouldy surface, left it to sit for 10 minutes and then wiped it clean.

Following this, she shared her simple hack to prevent the mould from coming back.

She continued: “Then, I’m going to use my mould prevention solution which is 10 drops of clove oil, 10 drops of tea tree oil and 100mls of vinegar.

“Spraying this along the blind is going to stop the mould from coming back.”

Anita’s video has clearly impressed many, as it has quickly racked up 59.6k views.

It has 2,201 likes, 34 comments and 507 shares.
