Survivor history continues to be made!
Mike Gabler, the 52-year-old Survivor winner announced that he would be donating the entire $1 million prize to veterans.
“There are people who need that money more,” Mike told host Jeff Probst. “And I’m going to donate the entire prize — the entire million dollar prize, in my father’s name, Robert Gabler, who was a Green Beret — to veterans in need who are recovering from psychiatric problems, PTSD, and curb the suicide epidemic.”

“We’re going to save lives and do something good,” Mike said in the heartfelt moment. “Season 43, all of us did this. A million dollars is going to them. We made history guys.”
Mike is making the donation to the Veterans in Need Foundation. “Together, we are a team of Veterans and Civilian Volunteers with the common goal of providing support and assistance to struggling Veterans and their families,” their website says. “Through booths, fundraising opportunities, and online platforms, we work hard each day to collect donations. These donations allow us to assist Veterans in need of immediate assistance who may or may not meet the qualifications of other government organizations or charities.”
Mike won Survivor with a 7-1-0 vote from the jurors.
