My son has lost his ambition for life since the Covid lockdowns
DEAR DEIDRE: SINCE the Covid lockdowns my son just doesn’t seem like himself any more.
He used to be so confident and full of life, but now he’s always so low.
He’s 23, and I’m his 49-year-old dad. I’ve done everything I can to support him and I feel terrible that I can’t take his pain away.
He used to be so outgoing, always out with his friends, and making the most of life.
But when the pandemic hit he was really affected by the sudden change.
Now he struggles to get out of bed in the mornings or to even eat a decent meal.
He rarely sees his friends, and he’s lost all his ambition.
I hate to see him this way, but I’m at a loss for how I can help. How can I get his spark back?
