Stocks in Asia struggle after heady Wall Street losses

SYDNEY, NSW, Australia - Stocks in Asia mostly weakened Friday, following the rout on Wall Street, UK, and European markets the day before.

In Japan, the Nikkei 225 shed 524.58 points or 1.87 percent to 27,527.12.

The Australian All Ordinaries declined 53.80 points or 0.73 percent to 7,336.50.

In New Zealand, traders returned to their desks after a public day the day before. The S&P/NZX 50 inched up 1
