Satire Video Slams Companies Funding Abortion Travel to Save Money on Maternity Leave

Live Action ridiculed pro-abortion corporations for claiming to be pro-woman while subtly pressuring them to abort their unborn babies in a new satire video this week.

In the wake of the Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade, dozens of major companies like Disney, Amazon and Dick’s Sporting Goods began offering abortion “benefits” to prove how “woke” and pro-woman they are, Live Action president and founder Lila Rose said.

“Women in the workplace are being lied to by their employers, who are claiming female empowerment by offering to pay a mother to end the life of her child, which in fact is the most demeaning and degrading thing to happen to someone,” Rose said in a press release.

These new so-called abortion “benefits” actually pressure pregnant mothers to abort their unborn babies for the benefit of the company, not women or children, as Live Action’s new “NBD Consulting” video shows.

“Are we going to have to pay to support a bunch of moms now?” one male executive complains at the beginning.

The video is a mock advertisement for a new firm, “NBD Consulting,” (Not Baby Daddy) run by a man named Kevin who says he has been an NBD at least 16 times. After bragging about helping seven of his ex-girlfriends pay for abortions and driving six more to the abortion clinic, Kevin says he is a “good person” and he can help corporations set up abortion benefits programs so they look good, too.“I can honestly say the best part of this, better even than the money and the time that I save, is knowing, truly knowing, I am a good person,” he says.

Here’s more from Live Action News:

In “NBD Consulting,” actors spoofing executives from various corporations boast about how they were able to put pro-abortion policies into place, saving them large amounts of money on policies that would support women and their children. After all, supporting employees who are mothers is expensive — offering things like flexible work schedules, paid maternity leave, breastfeeding accommodations, and more — while abortion is a one-time cost. And, as the “Not Baby Daddy” (NBD) Consulting founder “Kevin” explains, it allows corporations to appear that they support women, without actually having to do so.

The video is the second in Live Action’s new “Pro-Choice Bosses” series, which hits back at the praise and attention companies have received for their new pro-abortion programs.

“It’s clear, corporate America is incentivizing death, and not life,” Rose said. “We must continue to fight back against this ‘woke corporate agenda’ by choosing to give our business to those who support our values — those that support parents, and families, and a culture of life.”

Dozens of major companies now offer abortion travel benefits in response to the U.S. Supreme Court overturning Roe in June. Some companies, including Dick’s Sporting Goods, Lyft and Hulu, already have been accused of pressuring pregnant employees toward abortions by not offering similar benefits for employees who choose life for their babies.

In September, the entertainment company Hulu was exposed cutting maternity and paternity leave while creating its new abortion travel benefit. Hulu is a subsidiary of Disney, which also pays for employees to travel to abort their unborn babies.

Major entertainment companies like Warner Brothers and Netflix and tech giants like Google, Apple and Microsoft also offer their employees money to travel to abort their unborn babies. The grocery store chains Giant Eagle and Kroger pay employees’ travel costs for abortions, too.

One legal expert predicted that these companies may face lawsuits in an interview with Reuters, and Bloomberg Law reports the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission recently launched an investigation into three of them.

Most companies couched their pro-abortion stance in terms of “health care,” claiming women need abortions to be healthy and free. But these companies are encouraging the elective, unnecessary killing of unborn babies in abortions through these new benefits.
