A MUM has been forced to ditch her Christmas tree just a week before the Big Day after making a horrifying discovery between the branches.

Mortified Gina noticed something making quite the festive fuss among her decorations as she wound down in her living room.

After warily investigating, she was greeted by two beady eyes staring back at her – and realised a mouse was wreaking havoc on her tree.

The mum-of-two captured the moment she stumbled across the furry culprit while hilariously arming herself with a broom.

In the footage shared to TikTok, she can be seen gingerly rising the snow-frosted branches apart with the handle of the brush.

She gently nudged them out of the way to get a good look, explaining she initially “thought she was seeing things.”

But Gina’s vision was in full working order – as she realised when she spotted a minute grey mouse that had burrowed in between her baubles.

She frantically captioned the startling clip, which featured Michael Bublé’s cover of It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas: “Help!!!!!!”

The video has since racked up a whopping 3million views.

TikTok users quickly flooded the comment section to discuss their shock, with many confessing it was their “biggest fear.”

One wrote: “The way I would’ve simply set the whole tree on fire.”

Another said: “Omg new fear unlocked I didn’t know this could even happen.”

A third laughed: “I would have destroyed they whole tree in a panic.”

And a fourth added: “I would have screamed my lungs out!”

But others leapt to the mouse’s defence and urged Gina to remove it from her tree safely – or, in the spirit of Christmas, even gift it a slither of cheese.

One said: “Please don’t hurt him. You may have taken his home accidentally please don’t hurt him”.

Another chimed in: “Why are you all scared, it’s cute! He would definitely be my pet if this were me.”

And a third advised: “Poor little guy. Put some chocolate or cheese in a little box. He will go into it freely and then you should be able to move him outside. Don’t hurt him please.”

After being inundated with questions, Gina explained that her Christmas tree had been up for two weeks before she realised it “started moving.”

The mum said her cats then began clawing at the branches repeatedly, prompting her to take a closer look.

She then satisfied the needs of social media users by sharing a highly-anticipated update on the uninvited guest.

Gina shared another clip showing her cats desperately trying to catch the mouse as it ran for its life behind her crushed velvet sofa.

The pets pounced on the creature before it managed to scurry to freedom – as the mum again stood guard with her broom.

She wrote: “No mouse was harmed in the making of this video, he’s safely outside now with my Christmas tree” alongside a laughing emoji.

The TikToker explained tempting the mouse with a piece of cheese proved successful and she safely released him into the wilderness.

She reassured concerned users that her cats didn’t hurt him in the comment section.

We previously told how a family were left frantic after a rat scurried down from their Christmas tree.

The no-nonsense bunch quickly tried to hunt it down with an air rifle in the dramatic footage.
