Children chanted “Santa! Santa!” and others sang the Jackson 5 version of “Santa Claus is Coming to Town,” as Kris Kringle arrived by seaplane in southern Marin Wednesday.
More than 70 children participated in the event, which has been organized by the nonprofit children’s group Performing Stars of Marin and Mill Valley-based Seaplane Adventures for the past 10 years. In addition to holiday cheer, children received free books and toys.
Marin City children traveled by double-decker tour bus to see the spectacle, said Felecia Gaston, executive director of Performing Stars.
“This is super exciting for kids,” Gaston said. “We’re glad to continue this tradition in its 10th year.”
