The owner of a Mercedes Sprinter van called police around 12:45 p.m. as he followed stolen the van down Highway 101 from Novato, said CHP Officer Darrel Horner. The fob had been left inside the van, Horner said.

Officers pulled the van over at the Marin City exit and arrested the driver, 32-year-old Patricia Kathreenann Friley of San Rafael.

Friley was on probation in addition to having open warrants, Horner said.

Friley was booked into Marin County Jail and remained there Thursday in lieu of $75,000 bail. The van was returned to its owner.
