Some people are seeing an uptick in holiday heart syndrome at the hospital. Dr. Rajesh Bhat told the reporter that most of the heart-related issues are due to heavy drinking, which is known as alcohol-induced atrial arrhythmia. This is a condition in which the atria (upper chambers) of the heart beat rapidly, and the ventricles (lower chambers) don't beat as fast. This can cause the heart to be underfilled, and it won't be able to pump correctly.
