In Rajkot, the Special Operations Group (SOG) of the Bhavangar Police busted a case of marijuana cultivation in Khardi village under Talaja Taluka based on specific information. The SOG raided a farm belonging to one Ram Bhuva and found 116 marijuana plants weighing 752kg and valued at Rs 3764 lakh. The police booked Bhuva under the NDPS Act and arrested him. One more person is being held in the bogus certificate scam. The Crime Branch of Rajkot arrested Paresh Vyas 49 in the bogus degree and certificate scam case. The police had busted this scam in May 2022 and arrested Ketan Joshi, Tanuja Singh, Jitendra Pithadiya, and Paras lakhani but Vyas was at large since then. The accused had set up a bogus education board of Delhi in 2011 and given “affiliation” to 54 schools in 14 states and 49 cities.
