Chris Pratt Calls Out Popular Beekeeper After Getting Stung in the Eye, Beekeeper Responds!

Chris Pratt has suffered a very unfortunate injury.

On Thursday (December 22), the 43-year-old actor took to social to reveal that he tried to follow the example of popular Texas-based beekeeper Erika Thompson and remove some bees without protective gear, only to get stung in the eye.

“So I’ve been following this bee lady on Instagram, she’s so cool and brave and she goes in front of these hives of bees and says, ‘They’re very calm today. I’m going to remove the bee, I’m going to use my bare hands to sift through the bees and look for the queen,” Chris said in a video shared on Instagram, while wearing sunglasses.

“So it’s built up this false sense of security in me to where I said, ‘I think I can control bees, too,” he continued.

Chris went on to say that he recently came across a bee hive and decided to follow Erika‘s technique and remove the bees without wearing an gear.

“I just stared at these bees and then one of them come out and it stung me in the eyeball,” Chris recalled before removing his sunglasses to show off his swollen left eye. “So, anyways, f–k that bee lady.”

Chris tagged Erika in his post, which he captioned, “@texasbeeworks you inspire me! But for real tho…”

Erika then decided to respond in the comments, and poked some fun at his role as Mario in the upcoming The Super Mario Bros Movie.

“Wait—so now you’re going to be a plumber and a beekeeper @prattprattpratt?! If you leave saving the bees to me and other professionals, you can focus on saving the Princess, Mario,” Erika replied.
