If you were raised with Christmas traditions, it’s likely the day holds a singular spot among holidays. With trees, ornaments, réveillons, secret Santa, crèches, stockings, Rankin/Bass Rudolphs and poignantly melting animated snowmen amid reassurances from Jimmy Durante — and Die Hard — Christmas has more superstructure than any other day of the Canadian calendar.
