The officer, Vinod Kumar, was already convicted of five corruption cases and was sentenced by a vigilance court to undergo three years of rigorous imprisonment in another case. The court also convicted five other people, including a building manager at the Orissa Rural Housing Development Corporation (ORHDC), and disbursed Rs 2135 lakh to a real estate company.
