Warm morning with tiny waves for the keen

Similar conditions to yesterday, but without the foggy start. As the pictures show, waves are struggling to make thigh high on sets. Swell at sea was 0.8 metres at 13 sec from the SSE. Wind was out of the NE at 3-6 kts at 0800. It should pick up into the usual 15-20 kts range by this afternoon, however there’s no sign of change on the swell outlook front. Tide was low at 0545 and will be back to high at 1215. Weather should be sunny as we head to a high of 28. And water has ticked up to 21.

Tomorrow is looking, if anything, smaller than today, then on Thursday we could see an uptick on the swell front as an ENE swell fills in. The wind call  is for NE’rs, so not great unfortunately, but protected north corners could be ok for the early. Conditions might come together on Sunday morning though as some models are showing light wind early and 1.5-2 metres of 10 sec NE swell. And right now, for what it’s worth, Monday and Tuesday look quite promising with more swell and light winds for the early session.
