Allison Williams Joins the 'Nepo Babies' Conversation & Addresses Her Privilege

Many stars are speaking out about their thoughts on “nepo babies” in recent weeks, and Allison Williams is the latest celebrity to voice her opinion.

The 34-year-old Girls alum, who is the child of news anchor Brian Williams and TV producer Jane Gillan Stoddard, addressed privilege and nepotism in a new interview while promoting her new film, M3GAN.

“There’s no conversation about my career without talking about the ways in which I have been fortunate,” Allison says of the conversation around nepotism to Wired.

“I was definitely concerned with making sure people understood I was a hard worker, as if somehow that would absolve me of the privilege.”

Allison also doesn’t feel the need to be defensive about the term “nepotism”: “It doesn’t feel like a loss to admit it. If you trust your own skill, I think it becomes very simple to acknowledge.”
