I'm sorry, but I'm going to continue to challenge this every time I see it, as I think it feeds a false narrative about Marsch's abilities. Survival was out of our hands on the final day; we stayed up because events elsewhere went in our favour, not because Marsch is some sort of survival expert. If you're banking on that kind of luck repeating, sooner or later it's going to run out.Jesse undoubtably kept us up last season.
There has been no progress on the pitch under Marsch. Despite new signings, fewer injuries, a preseason, and two significant breaks to regroup, we are currently a point worse off than we were at the same stage last season. We survived despite Marsch, not because of him, and he has taken us backwards since then.
