3 Big Takeaways From Chicago Bears Win vs Arizona Cardinals

0

The Chicago Bears picked up another win at home 27-16 against the Arizona Cardinals. The Bears have now won 4 of their last 6 games. With that being said, here are my three biggest takeaways from the win on Sunday.

Justin Fields continues to give us moments

Justin Fields once again showed glimpses of brilliance on Sunday against the Cardinals. However, there were some questionable instances as well, and the inconsistent play-calling by Luke Getsy didn’t make things easier for Fields. Despite a good overall performance, there’s a part of me that wanted more from the third-year quarterback, especially considering he played the worst defense in the NFL. The Bears offense scored 21 points in the first half but managed only 6 points in the second half, particularly with the absence of Cole Kmet and a limited DJ Moore. Given all the factors, Fields played well.

Matt Eberflus might be good HC?

Despite Matt Eberflus having a 9-23 record as the Bears head coach, translating to a .281 winning percentage, it’s fair to consider the context. Last year marked a complete overhaul of an aging roster, signaling a clear rebuild. Taking this into account, the record should be viewed with a unique perspective. The Bears defense has experienced a complete transformation, now ranking among the top 10 and showing continuous improvement. Despite potential challenges earlier in the season, Eberflus has demonstrated the ability to maintain the locker room amid the chaos. Winning the final two games, especially the last one at Lambeau, would undoubtedly put the pressure on the Bears organization to reconsider parting ways with a head coach who appears to be successfully bringing the team together.

Bears offense needs another playmaker

Cole Kmet is having an impressive season, showcasing his skills as one of the top 10 tight ends in the NFL. Despite an injury setback during the Cardinals game, he continues to elevate his performance each week. DJ Moore has proven himself as a true number 1 wide receiver and was a valuable addition. However, the recent game against Arizona highlighted the Bears need for another playmaker at the wide receiver position. Drafting Ohio State WR Marvin Harrison Jr. seems like a logical move to address this gap. Justin Jefferson’s ability to make impactful plays shows the positive impact a playmaker can have on a quarterback, especially if the Bears choose to stick with Fields.

Adding one or two more playmakers could undoubtedly take the Bears offense to the next level.
