Five people are dead in a series of fatal accidents on Las Vegas area roadways. The crashes spanned from the afternoon of Christmas Eve into the early morning of Christmas Day. The first two victims died in a Christmas Eve crash at about 1:25 p.m. and a third fatality occurred just after 6 that evening. In the wee hours of Christmas morning, another accident claimed a life just before 12:30 a.m., followed by a separate death 20 minutes later. In that last crash, Las Vegas police say officers responded after a Mercedes-Benz turned left at an intersection and ran into a motorcycle’s path. The biker was pronounced dead on scene.
