On Corey Hall, enough time has passed to post this I think; the club let him go in a rush because they believed he was one head-knock away from a serious, potentially career-ending situation.

I don't know where they took that opinion from, but they wanted him off the books quick and HKR popped up with an offer.

My cynical friend suggests the rumour was started by someone called Heal Nudgell.

Yes, fortunately were not in that situation, and as far as players wages are concerned, that goes back to the pre Glover era

Under the Pearman era the wages were never paid from day one!
It’s remarkable that Andy Kelly got those players to win 3 from the first 7 games, given that the players had not been paid a single penny all season! Cheques bouncing around all over the place!

Warrington Wolves • Today’s match v London

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

In 2023, of the recognised goal kickers (players who kicked 30 or more goals in the season), Ratchford had the highest percentage at 86% with Harry Smith and Tommy Makinson at the bottom of the list at 65% and 63% respectively. If Smith had matched Ratchfords record then he would have landed an additional 31 goals for the season (league, cup and play-offs).

That's an average of 2 points per game.

Warrington Wolves • Big Sam? Rabbitohs target

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

It was suggested yesterday on Nrl360 that Demetrious' time as head coach could be short lived with Wayne Bennett taking over and big Sam as his protege, so even if he does 2 years, will he stay or go.
I hope a british RL star doesn't state 'homesick' for his return, IF there is one.
For me, he's a genuine guy so I think we'll get an honest decision, whatever happens.

Yeah, that's what my understanding is. When we officially opened up the Neil Fox stand it gave us an extra point, that we didn't have when they initially brought out our score.

If the alarm bells aren't already ringing for Adam and the Club this sort of news should have them deafening him.

For a club like Wakey that were even poorer than us last season to now appear to be building a decent side or at least talking about top players as potentials/targets makes the situation even more critical for the Club and Pearson. Читать дальше...

Castleford who were 13th in super league scores, appealed & lost out on appeal but only on wrong financial details presented, but they have won an appolagy from IMG for a wrong item they judged.
That item was / is a post code ( a wfd post code ) which has issues sharing catchment with Trinity.
So they have promised to correct this - thus ing said a " massive change in points awarded will be made.
This may well affect us in our points etc.

Back to Thompson I wonder if it's worth playing him on Friday, the slap on the wrist is on his record now and it'll be gutting if he misses GF with a one match ban over a grade A/B offence

If that's the case then that explains the turd we are seeing on the pitch and is just simply not good enough and may as well be part time.

I know in the past I used to see players in some of the coffee shops by 1-2pm which had me wondering back then just how much time is actually spent in training. Читать дальше...

London Broncos • Broncos Women 2024

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Tough opener away at St Helen's brought a 60-0 defeat but that is an improvement on last years similar fixture.

The home CC campaign starts this Sunday (24th March) against Warrington who we also played in the competition last last year.

Another very tough game but I imagine progress from last season will again be the aim.

KO is 3.30pm at Rosslyn Park.

The Women's Southern Championship will not get underway until 25th May.

Hull FC • Re: Giants in the Cup - can we get Up for the Cup?

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

I've not see anything that says to me Okunbor is better than a standard SL backrower, someone like Longstaff, Oliver Holmes etc, both who have been available to sign in the last year or so.

I'd be offering a way out of his contract early if he isn't happy.

If we could offload Carlos amd him and bring in a 7 and a better quality backrower, but this isn't going to happen, as the club has no ambition.

In recent years, it just feels as though they've been forced to rush through a good number of poorly prepared referees, just... Читать дальше...
