Wigan Warriors • Mago

Mago deserves credit for how well he has played, but this is also a massive pat on the back for our coaching team who keep showing how adept they are at getting players to the next level.

This has benefits for the players we have, but also for future recruitment. The next time we need to dip our toe in the transfer market we can point at players like Mago when talking to targets, and demonstrate that we can make them better players too

The most important re-signing the club will do this season, or indeed in any season.

Yes, more players may leave this year, and I may be sad to see them go, but this is news that is cause for huge optimism. I cannot wait to see who we have lined up to sign for next season.

In the list the club put out it has Thornley currently as unconfirmed for next season, although I agree he's got another seasoning him if he wants it.

Assume they're both part time teams so unlikely to be training more than a few times per week? Don't see why they can't arrange a schedule that lets both teams get sufficient gym/field time. Seems like a good option to make the best of the resources available between the clubs

I think Warrior Winger’s comment may have been referring to the possibility of the men’s teams sharing Robin Park rather than the women’s teams sharing Orrell?

Hull FC • DoR - New Coach - Investor & Adam - New signings

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

I suspect Wane won't leave Wigan. He's got his cake and eating it at the moment by being involved with the club he loves and also getting to do his coaching role with England. But if it was possible, I'd absolutely go for him. Holbrook would be a fantastic appointment as well as far as I am concerned. I just feel now that it's more likely going to be an assistant (either here or from the NRL) or we're going to have to dip down into the Championship.

I may try and put together the minutes played too for each player, if possible - as these make an impact too.

I haven't really seen anyone saying he isn't good enough, more questioning his fitness and seeming inability to complete a season without being injured for most of it. using our last marquee spot on him is a big risk. A spine including walker, trueman, abdul and asiata hardly looks the most robust in the comp

Some of the best GF winning Leeds teams have been underdogs - in 2007, 2008, 2011, 2012 etc - what's your point Flexwheeler? You do realise that good teams are not always expected to win, right?

The revisionism on this forum in the last few weeks really has been epic. We've been hearing that Furner would have been a better coach than Smith if only JJB hadn't complained and got GH and Sinfield to cut short his tenure, and now being an underdog is a sign of a team playing poorly. Warrington Wolves • Recruitment rumours and links

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

I did wonder a couple of days ago when Mago signed for another couple of years at Wigan whether Cooper would look to move elsewhere. With Vaughan, Harrison, Musgrove, Yates?, Philbin, Bullock, Crowther, Wood, Thomas, Okoro we seem well stocked?

Amone would be a great signing, would be a point of difference for us, but Cooper I’m not sure what that would achieve.

Roberts has made more errors than Miller but doesn't offer anything like as much in attack. I think if he was the right kind of player for a club of our ambitious we would have seen it now. I like his effort but if we're going to be ruthless we need better than this.

Hope this happens.
