Oklahoma's attorney general is suing two Texas-based natural gas companies over soaring prices during Winter Storm Uri in 2021. Republican Gentner Drummond filed both lawsuits Wednesday in Osage County, Oklahoma. The defendants in the lawsuits are Dallas-based ET Gathering & Processing and Houston-based Symmetry Energy Solutions. ET acquired Enable Midstream Partners in 2021. Ford is recalling nearly 43,000 small SUVs because gasoline can leak from the fuel injectors onto hot engine surfaces, increasing the risk of fires. But the recall does not fix the fuel leaks. It covers certain Bronco Sport SUVs from the 2022 and 2023 model years, as well as Escape SUVs from 2022, all with 1.5-liter engines. Prosecutors in an unusual triple murder case told jurors Wednesday morning that the defendant crafted an alternate reality in pursuit of sex, money and power. Chad Daybell is charged with murder, insurance fraud and other counts in the deaths of Tammy Daybell, 7-year-old Joshua “JJ” Vallow and JJ’s big sister, Tylee Ryan. Retired Trump Organization executive Allen Weisselberg has received a five-month jail sentence for lying under oath during testimony in a lawsuit brought against Donald Trump by New York’s attorney general. Weisselberg was previously the chief financial officer at Trump’s real estate company. Weisselberg pleaded guilty last month to perjury and was sentenced Wednesday and led away in handcuffs. Delta Air Lines is reporting a small profit and says travel demand is strong heading into summer. The airline's CEO says recent flight scares seem to be having no effect on ticket sales. Russia’s second attempt to test-launch a new heavy-lift rocket from its Far Eastern space complex has been aborted. The launch of the Angara-A5 rocket from the Vostochny spaceport was canceled about two minutes before its planned time of 0900 GMT Wednesday. Plainclothes Chicago police officers fired nearly 100 gunshots over 41 seconds during a traffic stop that left one man dead and one officer injured last month. That's according to graphic video footage released Tuesday by a police oversight agency. Officers from a tactical unit who were in an unmarked police vehicle surrounded an SUV last month driven by Dexter Reed, allegedly for failing to wear a seatbelt. A near-total ban on abortions is set to take effect in Arizona after the state Supreme Court ruled the state can enforce its long-dormant law making abortion illegal in all cases except when a mother’s life is at stake.
