Bailout in its pocket, utility sought to keep Householder in office, prosecution claims
CINCINNATI — The effort to derail a possible repeal of the $1.3 billion nuclear plant bailout law in the rear view mirror, some of the players in a $61 million bribery scheme turned their attention in 2020 to keeping Speaker of the House Larry Householder, who'd helped deliver it, in power for years to come, federal prosecutors contended Wednesday.
