The House of Representatives voted to pass a resolution condemning China's use of the suspected surveillance balloon that was shot down by US jets over the weekend, in a rare moment of unity in a sharply divided chamber.

PITTSBURGH — This is, as we all know, the month in which we celebrate the very real achievements and struggles for freedom endured by Black Americans, the more than 40 million alive today and past generations who endured unspeakable horrors.

To the editor: Jones escalated situation

The Toledo Blade

Kudos to your editorial “Jones owes amends too,” Feb. 2. The very first news video of this event — which I have yet to see rebroadcast — clearly showed how the police had controlled the situation, were in the throes of dispersing when the self-righteous Oshae Jones flew out the door of her dwelling (in the freaking pre-dawn hours of the night, no less) — and immediately began to insert herself into the situation, demanding badge numbers.
