...WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM MONDAY EVENING THROUGH

WEDNESDAY MORNING ABOVE 6000 FEET...

* WHAT...Heavy snow possible above 6000 feet with total snow

accumulations of 1 to 2 feet expected. Winds could gust as high

as 45 mph.

* WHERE...Portions of central California.

* WHEN...From Monday evening through Wednesday morning.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. Very

strong winds could cause extensive tree damage.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in

your vehicle in case of an emergency.

* WHAT...Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations of up to

12 inches possible. Winds could gust as high as 70 mph.

* WHERE...Western Plumas County/Lassen Park and West Slope

Northern Sierra Nevada Counties.

* WHEN...From Tuesday afternoon through late Tuesday night.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. Widespread blowing

snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous

conditions could impact the evening commute. Very strong winds

could cause extensive tree damage.
