...HIGH WIND WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 AM CST /3 AM MST/
THURSDAY...
* WHAT...West winds 45 to 65 mph with gusts up to 85 mph.
* WHERE...Guadalupe and Delaware Mountains.
* WHEN...Until 4 AM CST /3 AM MST/ Thursday.
* IMPACTS...Severe turbulence near the mountains will be
hazardous for low flying light aircraft. Travel will be
difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
People should avoid being outside in forested areas and around
trees and branches. If possible, remain in the lower levels of
your home during the windstorm, and avoid windows. Use caution if
you must drive.
...WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM CST /9 PM MST/
THIS EVENING...
* WHAT...Southwest winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.
* WHERE...Southeast New Mexico Plains, Van Horn and Highway 54
Corridor, Eastern Culberson, Davis, and Davis Mountains
Foothills.
* WHEN...Until 10 PM CST /9 PM MST/ this evening.
* IMPACTS...Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects.
Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may
result.
Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high
profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.
