In her video, Michelle (@wandermoremichelle) told viewers: “I found mouse poo by our stove and we are finding it every single day.”
She revealed the cheap product she used throughout her RV to deter the pests.
Michelle showed her followers the $5 IllumiScents peppermint oil, which is available from Walmart.
She explained: “I have to put it everywhere in every single crevice, there’s cotton balls everywhere.
“Peppermint oil actually will deter mice, they don’t like the smell of it.”
According to the experts at Victor Pest, there is a simple explanation as to why rodents dislike this scent.
They explained: “Mice find the potent aroma of its menthol to be offensive and irritating to their nasal cavities.
“The best repellents take advantage of this by using 100% peppermint oil.”
Michelle highlighted the importance of continuing to deter mice after they’ve left your home.
“After you get rid of them you still have to go around and search underneath your RV for every hole and make sure you fill it up,” she said.
“Mice can squeeze through a hole the size of a pencil,” she warned viewers.
“That’s where we’re at right now, trying to get rid of these mice that have infested our RV,” Michelle said.
She explained: “We bought our RV used, I was too excited and didn’t check cabinets.
“When I started the remodel, there were Irish soap bars in every cabinet.
“We also found rat poison, cotton balls everywhere, mouse poop, and then realized they had a mouse.”
