Ahead of the first phase of polling on November 7, the BJP is planning to match Congress step-by-step in election promises. According to highly-placed sources, the party has taken a call on offering a higher procurement price of paddy to match Congress promise of Rs 3,000 per quintal and is likely to offer upto Rs 3,500 per quintal of paddy procured.
