I had a huge glow-up when I left America to live in Europe, it upgraded me to a whole new league

AFTER moving across the pond, one former California girl said her style transformed.

Living in the US she wore trendy, fast fashion pieces, but in Paris she leans towards more sophisticated, high-quality basics.

Nina Cretan, known as Soldana on TikTok (@iamsoldana), packed up her bags and moved from California to Paris in 2020.

Now three years later, she sees how the transition impacted her personal style and her approach to shopping in general.

“Everyone is talking about ‘the girlfriend effect,’” she wrote in a clip, referencing the trend that sees men elevate their fashion sense while in a relationship.

Nina had her own spin on the concept.

“What about the ‘living abroad’ effect?”

The brunette beauty first showed photos of herself while she was a US local.

She wore flashier, low-quality clothes: pinstripe pants with a cross-body bag, a plaid skirt paired with a bright yellow turtleneck top and tights, and a polka dot skirt with a jean jacket.

In Paris, however, she looked like a true fashion icon.

She wore an off the shoulder white dress with flutter sleeves and matching pointed heels in one photo.

She rocked a leather skirt, knee-high boots, and a brown top in another.

A stylish linen set and retro sunglasses, a red Victorian-style gown, and a simple white tank with nude pants were other looks she now donned.

“Paris upgraded me to a new league,” she boasted in the caption.

Speaking to Dailymail.com, she revealed what changed: “I started opting for higher quality basics and statement pieces, so focused more on quality over quantity.”

She told the site that her approach to shopping also changed.

“US style in comparison is heavily oriented towards latest trends with people regularly doing a re-haul of their wardrobe.

“Because of this, I was really into fast fashion while living in the states. I gave it up once moving to Paris.”

Viewers of her clip noted the differences as well.

“Cute both ways! But style has increased since living in Paris,” one person commented.

“In this essay I learned I need to move to Paris,” quipped another, envious of her Nina’s look.

“Girl this is so real,” a third chimed in.
