Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IIT-G) startup Beta Tank Robotics has developed robotic solutions for maintaining and cleaning petroleum tanks, reducing the need for human entry into hazardous environments. The robots can clean crude oil tank bottom sludge and waterwash and strip retail outlet petrol pump tanks. This technology can also be adapted for cleaning chemical tanks, sewage treatment plants, and food processing tanks. The robots make the task of tank maintenance safer, more cost-effective, and environmentally responsible.
