Traders in GB Nagar and Ghaziabad are expecting sales of around Rs 5000 to 5500 crores during the festive period this year, compared to Rs 4500 to Rs 5000 crores last year. The festive period, which started on Raksha Bandhan on August 21, will continue until after Diwali on November 23. Various festivals such as Durga Puja, Navratri, Karva Chauth, and Dhanteras are contributing to the increase in sales. Silver Karvas and jewellery are in high demand, and other popular items include furniture, automobiles, household goods, clothing, and electronics.
