Aldi’s middle aisle is full of festive bargains including lights, gonks and Christmas trees
THERE’S only one thing more exciting than a dive down Aldi’s middle aisle – and that’s the middle aisle at Christmas time.
And for anyone looking to get into the festive spirit early, then you’re in luck…because a savvy shopper has revealed some of the bargain buys that are already on offer in the supermarket store.
Money-saving mum Mandy took to TikTok (mandyyourtiktokmum) and begins by sharing an adorable gonk wearing a sequin hat that’s currently on sale in Aldi.
“I absolutely love that gonk,” she enthuses.
She then moves onto bargains that are perfect for Christmas parties – noting that the store has a wide range available – including £1.49 party props, bunting, foil balloons and paper pinwheels.
“They’ve got a large selection of lights,” she continues.
“They’ve got these star stake lights and they’re £12.99, this light up Christmas tree is £7.99 and inflatable characters are £24.99.”
Picking up a packet of honeycomb bell baubles, Mandy continues: “These I absolutely love. I’ve picked up a few packets of these to put in my home.”

She goes onto say that the festival musical scene is”pretty reasonable” at £12.99, while the glass Christmas trees retail at just £5.99.
Mandy continues: “They seem to be going big with decorations this year – look at the candle projector. I love that – it’s going to put snowflakes on the wall!”
Amongst some of the other bargain buys include little Christmas trees, priced at £7.99, £4.99 LED star lights, £5.99 tea light holders, nutcrakcers and wreaths.
Next, Mandy is drawn to the festive alcohols.
“I love this gin tasting box – that’s £11.99,” she says.
“I also just spotted a Hotel Collection advent calendar for £24.99 – you get a candle in every day.”
She then goes on to share her excitement after spotting the Hotel Collection winter spice candle, which is a warming orange, cinnamon and clove scent.
The money-saving whizz adds that Aldi doesn’t seem to have a lot of Christmas food yet but notes: “They have a lot of advent calendars, and then they’ve got spiced chorizo and turkey crisps, Christmas puddings, lots of panettone, biscuits and some sweets.”
She captioned the post: “I believe that most of the Christmas decorations are part of this weeks, special buys that are supposed to go on sale on Thursday, so if you want any of this stuff you might wanna get down to your local Aldi because apparently once it’s gone it’s gone.”
The post quickly went viral, garnering an impressive 42k views and hundreds of comments.
“Think I’ll get a candle,” wrote one.
A second penned: “Lovely stuff the spice candle looks lovely and the advent calendar.”
