Tunisia’s Carthage Film Festival, one of the oldest African film festivals, has been cancelled. The Ministry of culture took the decision in solidarity with the Palestinian people. In the 80s, the country was a refuge for Palestinian artists and always welcomed the Palestinian cause through the film festival. For artists, the cancellation raises questions about resistance through art and what culture brings to the Palestinian national cause, as FRANCE 24’s Lilia Blaise and Hamdi Tlili report.
