I Don’t Need A Day Off – Burnley Out On Loan Star Doesn’t Want To Step Aside

The Northern Irish shot-stopper has struggled to establish himself at the Clarets and has been sent away on loan stints away from Turf Moor.

This season he has joined Danish outfit AGF on a season-long loan from Vincent Kompany’s side and he wants to be their clear number one this term.

However, he understands that it is up to the manager about the goalkeeping position, but he is ready to play whenever the team need him, including against Ishoj IF in the cup tonight.

“Personally, I would like to play all matches”, Peacock-Farrell told Danish outlet Bold.dk.

“If you talk to Jesper [Hansen], I think he will say the same.

“So, I am fit and available.

“But it is up to the head coach to decide who he wants to play with.”

The 27-year-old wants to play as many games as possible and he insisted that he needs no time off from playing, even though he understands that managers often like to rotate goalkeepers for cup matches.

“In some places, it can vary who plays in the league and in the cup.

“But for me, it is important to play as many games as possible.

“So, I don’t need a day off.”

It remains to be seen if Peacock-Farrell is given the vote to play in the Danish Cup tie tonight.
