In his video, Michael (@themediterraneangardener) listed the seven gardening jobs to prioritize throughout November.

For his first tip, he told his followers the bulb type they should be planting as the weather cools.

“It’s finally time to plant tulips in pots and borders as the weather starts to get colder,” Micheal explained.

He also advised viewers to “lift dahlia tubers and store them in a dry frost-proof place.”

For his next job, Michael suggested some winter plants to liven up your garden.

“If you have empty pots it’s the perfect time to add some winter color into your gardens with violas, heathers, conifers, and hardy tub plants,” he said.

As the trees continue to lose their leaves, he suggested making the most of the foliage on your lawn.

He explained: “As the leaves fall you want to collect them up off your lawns which you can then keep to make leaf mold.”

For his next recommendation, Michael addressed the topic of garden furniture.

He told viewers: “After you’ve collected the leaves it’s a good time to clean and pack up your outdoor furniture.

“Outdoor cushions will be damaged in freezing temperatures when wet.”

Michael demonstrated how to easily scrub your garden cushions before storing them away for the winter.

He also revealed that November is “a great time to tackle weeds in driveways and borders.”

Michael added: “Dealing with them in autumn will reduce weed problems in spring.”

For his final tip, the gardening fanatic added a final touch to his flowerbeds for the winter season.

“Cut down faded perennials that are looking tatty and mulch the surrounding soil,” he advised his followers.

TikTok users took to the comments section to share their thoughts on the advice.

“As soon as it stops raining, that is on my list,” wrote one inspired viewer.

Another follower suggested: “You can leave leaves on your lawn and garden for insect shelters and to protect ecosystems.”
