Predicted Tottenham XI to take on Chelsea – Postecoglou forced into a change
Tottenham Hotspur will look to continue their unbeaten start to the Premier League season on Monday when they welcome Mauricio Pochettino and Chelsea to N17.
We expect Guglielmo Vicario to continue between the sticks for the North London side, with the usual trio of Pedro Porro, Micky Van de Ven and Cristian Romero ahead of him.
However, with the injury to Ben Davies and Destiny Udogie being described as ’50-50′ (Football London), we do not think that Postecoglou will risk the Italian left-back, and so Emerson Royal will fill in.
In midfield, Yves Bissouma made it through the Crystal Palace match without picking up a yellow card and another suspension, so he starts in the pivot role.
Pape Matar Sarr and James Maddison also retain their spots, despite Rodrigo Bentancur returning to the pitch for the first time since February last week.
Up front, we expect Heung-min Son and Dejan Kulusevski to start as normal, while Richarlison also keeps his spot on the left. Brennan Johnson may be preferred as a speedy impact sub in the final 30 minutes of the match.
