LinkedIn just launched a new AI job coach for Premium members

LinkedIn has added an AI career coach to help Premium users with job-hunting. 

The new generative AI integration can help job seekers see if certain roles are a good fit, research companies, shape their profiles for the best shot at a position, and prepare for interviews, LinkedIn said.

The tool will provide AI-generated insights alongside job postings, as well as AI-generated profile suggestions.

The new AI tool has been in the works for some time. Researcher and web developer Nima Owji, who monitors the code of apps for forthcoming features, shared a screenshot of the assistant on X back in August, Insider previously reported. 

The AI options are still in beta and available only to a limited number of LinkedIn Premium members.

LinkedIn, which says it now has more than 1 billion members, has been working to integrate AI tools into its platform. Those features include an AI-generated chat feature for Premium users, and an AI-assisted search tool for recruiters.

Along with the AI job coach, LinkedIn is also integrating AI-powered tools it says will analyze information in users' feeds and turn it into "actionable takeaways."

Tomer Cohen, LinkedIn's chief product officer, said: "It will take on the hard work of parsing through long articles, videos, and posts and suggest ideas on how the information can be helpful to you. Then you'll get to spend your valuable time taking action on it."
