Trump leveled profane 30-minute 'tantrum' at his own lawyer over D.C. trial date: report
Former President Donald Trump was not happy when Judge Tanya Chutkan set a date of March 25, 2024 for his trial on charges alleging he conspired to defraud the United States with his efforts to illegally remain in power after losing the 2020 election.
What's more, reports Jon Karl in The Atlantic, Trump took his anger out on his own legal representative.
According to Karl's sources, Trump immediately started yelling at attorney Todd Blanche and blaming him for not being able to secure a more politically beneficial date.
POLL: Should Trump be allowed to run for office?
“That’s in the middle of the primaries!” Trump yelled at Blanche. “If I lose the presidency, you are going to be the reason!”
Karl writes that this Trump "tantrum" continued for roughly 30 minutes, even after the cameras in the court had turned off.
“You little f---er!” Trump yelled at Blanche at one point. “You are going to cost me the presidency!”
March 25, 2024 is the day before the all-important "Super Tuesday" primaries, which in theory would make things politically difficult for Trump.
However, polls have shown Republican voters rallying around him no matter how many times he gets indicted or how many crimes he's alleged to have committed.
