'Rinse and repeat': Don Trump Jr. testifies that he signed any document he was told to

Donald Trump Jr. testified Thursday that he signed whatever documents he was told to while working for his family-owned company.

The former president's oldest son returned Thursday for a second day of testimony in the $250 million fraud lawsuit brought by New York Attorney General Letitia James, and he confirmed that signatures on some statements of financial condition were indeed his — but he denied working on those documents or having detailed knowledge of their contents, reported ABC News.

"I would have checked with our legal department," Trump Jr. testified. "If they assured me in their expert opinion that these things were fine, I would have been fine with that and would have signed accordingly."

POLL: Should Trump be allowed to run for office?

Assistant Attorney General Colleen Faherty asked if that was the case for financial statements compiled for each year between 2017 and 2021, when Trump Jr. was trustee of the revocable trust that held his father's assets while he served as president.

"Rinse and repeat," Trump Jr. said. "I think we could save each other a lot of time and effort — yes, it would be the same thing."
