Two Traffic accidents in Balkh leave 14 dead and injured
Local authorities in Balkh province report that as a result of two separate traffic incidents in the province, four individuals died, while another ten were injured.
The security commander of Balkh province announced on Wednesday that the first incident occurred during yesterday’s lunchtime in the district of Burka in this province, following the overturning of a Toyota Corolla vehicle.
Officials in this province added that following this traffic incident, one woman lost her life, and three others are still in critical condition.
Meanwhile, in the aftermath of another traffic incident that occurred last night in the Bagh-e Shamal area on the Balkh-Samangan highway, three individuals died, and seven others were injured.
According to officials, this incident occurred when a Fielder-type vehicle overturned north of this province. Among the casualties of this traffic event there is also a child.
Furthermore, authorities in this province have emphasized that women are among the victims of these traffic incidents.
The primary cause of these traffic events, as stated by Balkh province officials to reckless driving.
Before this, similar incidents have claimed lives in various provinces, especially in Balkh province, due to traffic accidents.
On Wednesday, in the aftermath of another traffic incident in the Oruzgan province, one person lost their life, and another is still injured.
The main reasons for many traffic accidents in the country include recklessness, inadequate road conditions, and non-compliance with traffic laws.
