Uber and Lyft have settled for a combined $328 million to resolve wage theft claims in New York. The settlement follows investigations into allegations that the ride-hailing companies improperly charged drivers for sales taxes and fees that should have been covered by customers. Uber will pay $290 million, Lyft $38 million, and the funds will be distributed to current and former drivers. As part of the settlement, both companies have agreed to provide paid sick leave and a minimum wage of $26 per hour for drivers outside of New York City.
